Ironesses victorious in their opening fixture.
Bamber Bridge Women fought back from 2-0 down to secure a 4-2 victory in their inaugural fixture in the Lancashire Women's County League on Wednesday evening.
Following the game, manager Louisa McCarney shared her thoughts.
"Morecambe are always a tough side to beat, with some seriously talented players, but today the girls showed amazing resilience after going two goals down in the first half.
Two absolute wonder strikes from Karen and Emma got us back into the game, before we needed a bit of extra magic from the wide areas, and Nicole certainly delivered!
A really positive chat at half time helped us tweak a few things, and I thought our substitutes coming on made a massive difference. Every single player in the squad played their part in getting us over the line today.

Outstanding at centre half all game against a really tough striker. What a performance!
Special mention to Carmel and Hayley in the middle too for keeping the ball moving and helping us control the game when we needed it.
As a coach, I’m just very proud tonight. The girls showed character, togetherness and belief, and I genuinely believe they got everything they deserved."
