Club Statement: Archie Lang

The club have issued the following statement confirming the departure of midfielder Archie Lang.

“Bamber Bridge Football Club can confirm that Archie Lang will depart the club following the activation of a clause within his existing playing contract.

The provision, agreed in February 2026 prior to the current leadership taking responsibility, allows Archie to terminate his agreement following the departure of former First Team Manager Jamie Milligan.

Whilst these arrangements were inherited by the current leadership and are not necessarily provisions we would have agreed ourselves, we recognise our responsibility to honour the club’s contractual commitments.

Our priority throughout has been to ensure that matters were handled correctly, professionally and in the best interests of Bamber Bridge FC, whilst treating Archie with the fairness and respect he deserves.

Having carefully reviewed the position, we are pleased to have reached an amicable conclusion.

We remain committed to strengthening the club’s structures and ensuring all future decisions are made with the long-term interests of Bamber Bridge FC at heart.

We thank Archie for his contribution and wish him every success in the next chapter of his career and you will always be welcome at the club.”
